A basic, plain printer that works just fine No, it does not scan or make copies or fax, it does not have wifi connectivity, it does not even come with a USB cable to hook it up with.Of course, it says in the description that the cable is not included, the description also says nothing about wifi, scanning, faxing or copying. So why the other reviews rate this printer badly for those omissions is not the printers fault now is it?This is just your plain, basic printer of the type made years ago before all the “do-everything” printers came along, and guess what? It prints just fine. You might as well add another set of ink cartridges to your basket if you buy this, the ones included are “starter” cartridges, I printed one one page of plain black text and the black cartridge read almost a quarter empty, so they won’t last long.

Warning: Does not come with USB cable So I work in IT and when printer manufacturers stopped shipping .50cent USB Type A-to-B cables in their Networkable printers I laughed but somewhat understood since it makes more sense to network the printer if it’s capable. However, this printer has no networking capability. This printer is also designed for simplicity hence that it advertises one button and ease of use. This would then cater to the less tech savvy people who just want a printer they can set up themselves. Do you think those people are going assume that the printer, when taken out of the box, is completely unusable unless you buy an extra part somewhere else? I cannot fathom for the life of me why HP does not include a .50cent USB cable given that it’s literally a requirement for the printer to function out of the box. I still gave the printer 4 stars because with the cable it is a functioning printer for very cheap. They’ll make the money back on the ink of course and how greedy of a company can you be where you…

It prints. It’s simple. It’s budget-friendly. This is a printer. It does one thing…print. Then sits there until you ask it to print again. That is all I ask.Added bonuses:It’s super light. The color is nice. It’s small and folds up to be compact. It uses a common HP ink so easy to find replacement cartridges. It’s cheap. The only cons I could see are:It prints pretty slowly…but what rush are you in? c’mon look at the price. You insert paper from the top, I prefer having a bottom loading trap…but why does that even matter? c’mon look at the priceI think this is because the ink cartridges are new, but the ink has like a very subtle “faded” look…but are we printing movie tickets or a corporate marketing campaign? c’mon look at the price.Perfect for the regular student and home use. If you want office quality printing buy a more expensive printer or go to Fedex/Staples.
