Putting it together was easy and it is leather on the top surfaces and not cheap bonded leather. (Though still a bit thin and cheap for leather. Also doesnt smell like leather hmmm) The sides are all a soft breathable mesh. That material that snags really easy that is made from pantyhose material) The stainless steel does give it a strong look and feel of quality. The wheels are average standard plastic wheels. The padding is quite soft and cozy feeling at first. Those were the compliments and now for my complaints. Im 6’1″ 260lbs. At the lowest setting my feel just bearly touch the floor which is fine other than it adding just a little pressure under my legs. The high back of the chair is not a medium back nor a high back. Its a weird in between. So my shoulders are up against the neck pillow part. Forcing me to sit in a “C” shape. If it were just a few inches higher it would be fine for me, but what about…
Heavy chair but horrible design, narrow seat and severly angled back. Very disappointed. I’m a big guy, 5ft 7in and 410 lbs, so I need a chair that can take my weight, has a wide seat, is comfortable in front of a desk, and leans back nicely to catch my head. I have 2 other similar looking chairs I’ve ordered online that have met these requirement so I hoped this one would too. The problem with all chairs, not just this one, is that buying a super heavy duty chair online without sitting in it first to test it out is very risky business, as the locking gas cylinder makes it impossible to disassemble and rebox the chair for return. Well, looks are deceiving, because although this chair is very heavy, and resembles my other 2 chairs, it is poorly designed and extremely uncomfortable. For starters, the puffy seat front makes it impossible to get into the chair without holding onto the arms and hopping up into it, other it goes flying backwards and you can end up on the floor. A Tank covered in padding. Even though FedEx delivered the box looking as though it had been rolled down several flights of stairs, and kicked for good measure, the chair was in perfect condition. It was understandable why after I began assembling the chair. The thing is built like a tank plain and simple. (Almost busted a gut getting it up the stairs) Now that I have the chair together, I have to say this is quite possibly the best built chair I have ever owned. I’m a big guy and I usually feel nervous leaning back in other chairs, but when I saw how thick the metal is throughout the chair, and how heavy the sucker is, I leaned back and felt zero give anywhere.The arms are thick metal with real chrome, and the base and back are attached with a wide extremely thick plate of metal which attach to those metal arms on the base and back.
