Sturdy and spacious to use as a desk…but missing parts Just received the Tribesigns Modern Computer Desk, 63″ Large. Very solid and stable with a great look. Ordered in the teak color which is great for the office scheme. Very spacious, fits two monitors, keyboard, lamp and desk accessories. Haven’t had issues writing on desk but will get a desk pad anyway. Assembly was pretty simple as advertised but missing the four leg pads that protect the flooring and allow for adjusting the height. Went through the process of letting Amazon know parts are missing but they want to order a whole new desk and just the leg pads are needed. Hope to resolve this without having to replace the whole desk and just get the missing parts. Other than that I would have given 5 stars. Will update.
Packed OK, But Really Cheap Cardboard So overall, I’m happy with this purchase. I got the 63″ version, and it’s not a sturdy as reported by buyers of the smaller version. It was packed pretty well, but they use really REALLY cheap cardboard that did not do well in shipping. I only included one angle in my pictures, but there was about 7-10 holes. Only one caused any damage. A small ding in the metal frame, also pictured. I didn’t notice it until I already assembled it (which really was easy), but didn’t want to go to the trouble of disassembling and returning it.Assembling was easy, but it’s also real easy to over-tighten the screws and misshape the metal frame. The include Allen wrench was handy, but the screws are cheap, and the heads are not uniform in size. The wrench did not fit well in around half of them. I had to use one of my own, a slightly smaller size to tighten adequately.I’m glad I didn’t pay more than I did. Did I mention the cardboard is really cheap?
Great desk for the money The desk is mostly solid, but it will take some time to figure out the sweet spot on the height adjusting legs. The desk is solid compared to similar desks in this price range, but you really get the benefit when it comes to the size if you use multiple monitors.The only real downfall to this desk is that there is an inconveniently placed lip that goes around the perimeter of the table (giving only half an inch of desk extending on the sides). This lip makes clamping monitor mounts or headphone mounts really difficult and cumbersome. If you need a desk that’s good for clamping monitor mounts for multiple monitors, look elsewhere or prepare to change over to drilling into the desk for mounting.
