Unit broke under min. use company did NOT respond to our in-warranty request! This Shredder Broke Down during our actual full-time use. Even though the unit was rated for being able to using the automatic feed put 100 sheets on it we only put 10 to 15 sheet in the feeder. After 1 hours use it overheated and when we let it sit for an hour and tried using it again one of the Cheap Plastic Gears Broke. WE CONTACTED THE COMPANY and they Have Never Responded!Unit broke under min. use company did NOT respond to our in-warranty request!
The best piece of office equipment we bought last year Love this shredder! We have an office with files dating back 20 years. Instead of adding new file cabinets a few years back I started shredding and disposing of unneeded files. It was a nightmare feeding a few sheets at a time through my old shredder, even with it set on top of a garbage can. With this shredder you can set the papers in and walk away, I’ve only had it jam twice and overheat once when I didn’t wait long enough between batches. We’ve run over 6000 pages through it so far. You do have to take out the staples, but it sounds a lot more difficult than it is, we just tear off the corner where the staple is and you’re good to go.
Not worth the money I bought this shredder because the idea of feeding the hundreds of pages of documents I need to shred individually, or even ten at a time, is maddening. But this is absolutely worthless. It shredded fine for about a month. After that, it became so jammed that it will not shred anything through the auto feed, and the single sheet feed gets jammed as soon as I use it.By âjammedâ, I mean that I have taken this completely apart and removed all of the paper from every crevice. Something is off track with the actual shredding wheels, so when you put a single sheet through after cleaning it, it immediately jams again. I have no intention of taking apart the entire machine every time I shred a page.
