5 hours after work alone and it looks great, take notes boys First off my husband stated that in another review this desk took two grown men 3.5 hours each to assemble this desk, I am a 28 year old female and let me say that reading instructions for this desk and following them made this desk a snap when comparing to these guys putting this together. Took me 3.5 hours after work alone and it looks great, take notes boys. I did my homework and the quality of this desk for a (flat pack desk) is rock solid, I love the look the room, all the way to the texture of this desk. I was short one screw for a handle, that my cat may have eaten I don’t know. Overall I recommend this desk to anyone wanting quality that isn’t 500 bucks. Amazon did a great job on the packaging protecting it as it was double boxed, the desk even arrived one day early, Amazon FTW.
Contemporary desk? Yes. Computer desk? No. This is an OK desk, but it’s NOT A COMPUTER DESK.CONS- No cutouts anywhere for cables- Right-side cabinet’s back doesn’t feature cutouts for cables, and is not deep enough to accommodate mid-ATX computer cases- Assembly is a long, painful process complicated by the lack of clear instructions about where exactly to mount drawer rails (the rails have four time as many holes as needed for assembly, so you must guess how far to install them on each panel) and unnumbered hardware pieces- Hanging file folder size (letter/legal) cannot be changed after assembly without having to disassemble the entire file drawer- All silver-colored “fixtures” (feet, handles, etc.) are painted plastic- Left-side drawers don’t close completely (possibly because we install the rails too close to the edges, but we’ll never know, will we?)PROS- It looks pretty sleek- The veneer finish looks pretty resistant- It…
