….bad that should NOT be at this price point Short and not so sweet: Positives in entirety would be the overall appearance. Negatives would pretty much include most of the rest of the item and the company that produces it. Generally all of the decorative edges and raised areas are not wood, but resin which will crack, break and disintegrate at the least opportunity. My desk came with considerable portions damaged from the manufacturing…not a result of shipment. There is a strong chemical stench that is to control fungus and bug infestation which has been permanently imbued into the drawer liners. My unit came with a faulty electrical box which takes up a great deal of space and is impossible to remove without destroying a portion of the desk pedestal. The company when contacted did not initially respond for 2 weeks and then played a leisurely game of “run out the clock” for another 3 weeks responding every 2-4 days always with more questions and never any offer to address any of the issues to do with damage or the faulty…
Nice statement piece of furniture Love this desk. I recently purchased a new house with a large office that was just screaming for a big executive desk. I looked around at some of the upscale furniture stores and just didn’t have the budget to pay $3000 or more for a desk. I was hesitant to purchase furniture online as sometimes colors aren’t exact and you really can’t see the quality but I took a chance as the desk has pretty good reviews and I think I got a quality product for the money I paid.First of all be prepared to call in some help for assembly. The desk comes in two boxes and they are heavy. The delivery people were only willing to bring the boxes to my front porch, I had to drag them the additional 20 or so feet to my office. After getting the boxes unpacked the desk went together pretty easy with another person to help. Desk is well worth the price!! This desk is solid and gorgeous. I want to try to provide some details however that I had to scrounge for so people might have fewer doubts/issues.First off, ensure you understand the shipping based off who you bought it from. If you buy from Amazon, it usually includes placement in the room of your choice. If you choice a different vendor, it may or may not include that option. Which means you will be obligated to have someone help you unload from the truck (most likely w/o a lift gate) or the shipper will only move through to 1st threshold. As both boxes are heavy and big as detailed below, this can end up being a big issue. Finally even when shipped by Amazon, I had to ensure the shipper (ABF) brought it on a lift gate equipped truck and had enough people to move into the house.The desk comes in 2 boxes.The first box is 50.5″X 38.25″X 29.5″.
