Rock Solid desk A great desk. That is after you put it together. Plan on spending a afternoon with a friend. It is exactly what I wanted in my home office. It is heavy, the parts fit well and it is solid. The only way I differed from the instructions was I glued the edges of the pedestals and glued the top to the pedestals when we were assembling the desk. I also used corner braces on the pedestal inside bottoms you will need 8. That really stiffen and strengthened the desk. (Rock Solid) After it was all said and done I expect this desk to long out last me. 🙂
Great desk, especially for the price! I actually got this because of the keyboard drawer but I don’t like the front folding down causing more distance between you and the desk. You can’t really do any work at the desk with the drawer out without leaning so far forward that is it is uncomfortable. Also, the hole in the top of the desk is right in the middle towards the back where you would usually put a monitor, so I had to buy a monitor stand to resolve this. I have read it has taken about 6 hours to put together, some commenting less, some commenting more. It took me a little over 4 hours. It says not to use a drill but I used one anyway. I set it on a low torque setting and it was fine, just start each screw manually first. It looks great, is a good sized desk & sturdy. It would be better if it had pull out panels above each top drawer for added work space though! I see the price has gone up $75 since I bought mine about 2 weeks ago. It’s very well buildt it will last for many years this desk is the kind you would find in an executives office. It is well build and looks classy. I love the inlay on top. it’s easy to keep clean I just wipe it off. it is Big. It looks just like the picture. I have a lot of room I can spread things out all over the place’ I most definitely recommend this beautiful desk. Sauder is a good product I have gotten a bookcase from them and every thing I have bought I have been very satisfied with it.
