BUYER BEWARE! I wish I could give NEGATIVE Stars! I have NEVER been more disappointed in a purchase in my life! I implore you to leave this page right now and shop elsewhere for a desk. It doesn’t make sense that it should be this difficult or time consuming to build a desk. NOTHING is pre-assembled. Let me be very clear. We purchased the Assembly Service, because so many people warned in the reviews that it was a ‘bear to build’. Talk about understatement! The Assembler, who by the way was extremely professional, courteous, hardworking and forthright, warned us it was going to be more than the 4 hours we paid for. IF they go over 4 hours which he will, it is $25 an hour. My son assisted him every step of the way and after TWO Visits – 7 hours the first time and 2 the second – it is STILL NOT FINISHED! We have just discovered that some parts are missing. Let me try to emphasize – we have over $450 for the desk and $250 for assembly into it (so far) and still NO finished product. This…
Very nice, heavy and sturdy. Smells and feels like real wood! Very Nice. Only reason I am not giving this 5 starts is because. 1). Screws(for the knobs) are a little short for the 2 bigger draws. Counter sink will fix. 2). Draw holes did not line up for the 2 bigger draws. I would suggest wait until you put the desk together, Put in the Knob, then once everything is in line, put in the screws that hold on the drawer fronts. Person that said 6 hrs. is what I would go with, taking your time. Instructions are good, but make sure you look at pictures also. Very Sturdy, and nice. We purchased two of these. Although it’s not real wood, the house is full of a wood smell. Also it looks and feels like real wood,. It comes in two boxes. One of the boxes I had to turn sideways, it was too wide to fit through the door. Very happy with these. Also purchased the bookcase, matches perfectly. the 2 drawer cabinet is on the way. Good buy Desk isn’t hard to build but it takes a lot of time. We spent a couple hours across multiple days. It even has in the instructions book that “it’s not Rome. It won’t be built in a day” The instructions are clear and easy to follow. They have detailed pictures on every page. There was a few parts that had damage. None of the parts are visible once it was all put together. It has the slots for your cables and hooks placed under the top of the desk to hold your cables as well. There is a cabinet that locks. You recieve 2 keys for it. The keyboard tray can go on either side of the desk. It feels pretty sturdy. We are still working on getting it all setup for how I want everything placed on the desk. Desk was way cheaper on Amazon than at Office Depo. It was over $600 from Office Depo. Working with the delivery company was easy. It came about a week ahead of schedule.
