Good concept, but has limitations and drawbacks Unless you shred neatly-stacked, unfolded-pages of equal size and slightly creased in the center for the wheels can pull/catch the paper, this shredder is not going to offer a satisfying experience. Here’s why: the so-called “100 page” feeder is constantly jamming especially if the paper is not slightly creased to grip. But let’s say you are not always shredding flatly laid items put in a stack. Let us say you want to shred a bill in an envelope. We all get mail we don’t need and we don’t even bother to open, but know it’s best to shred. If that envelope has two pages and is tri-folded, like a bank statement or credit card bill, you CANNOT manually shred it. WHY? Because the shredder can only shred six pieces of paper at a time, so an envelope with two pieces of paper, tri-folded, plus the envelope equals 8 layers of paper. The shredder can only handle six. The shredder jams up.Cheaper ones handle 12-15 with ease. The auto-feed is a great idea, but needs all the particulars…

Great idea, poor quality product Great idea, poor quality product. I love the idea of being able to drop the pages in and have them be shredded without having to feed the machine constantly. I work in a small office that has done a poor job keeping up with getting rid of old documentation, so had a bunch of stuff that needs to be destroyed. I figured with this product I could drop 130 sheets in at a time, work away on other stuff, and then dump and refill as necessary. Wrong. I’ve spent most of today trying to get this to work as advertised. If it doesn’t jam on the 10th sheet, then it fails to pick up on the 11th and then stops cycling. It’s actually more of a headache than feeding a normal 10 page shredder, as I have to constantly stop what I’m doing to meet its needs rather than just standing there feeding the 10 pages I know it can handle. I hate this, not so much as it’s just a piece of garbage (it is) but that it purports to fix an actual issue that I have and I wasted time trying to make it work rather…

For occasional and light use only I like being able to stack papers in the tray, walk away, and the papers get shredded. Nice if you are cleaning out files and getting rid of junk. The automatic 100-sheet tray handles only regular paper well. You can’t put cardstock or slick papers in the tray for automatic shredding. It is unusual (to my thinking) that the papers in the automatic tray are pulled into the shredding mechanism at their midpoint, which essentially folds them in half for shredding. I thought the papers were fed in from one end, which seems way more logical to me. But, it does work pretty well.I like the feature of automatic jam clearance; the unit reverses automatically and then keeps alternating reverse and forward until the papers go though – most of the time. Sometimes, it just stops because it has kept trying and hasn’t succeeded.I wish the bin was a little larger. Since I’m trying to de-clutter and am doing a lot of shredding, I could use a bigger bin…
